The Role

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Social Media to lead our social media department in delivering outstanding work for our clients. This person will manage a team of social media planners and coordinators, overseeing the development, activation, and performance tracking of both organic and paid social media campaigns for our clients.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in social media strategy, team leadership, and client management, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, creative innovation, and measurable performance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
  • Develop integrated organic and paid social strategies for multiple clients, tailored to their specific business objectives and audiences.
  • Act as the senior strategic lead on key accounts, advising clients on best practices, platform innovations, and campaign opportunities.
  • Ensure all social content aligns with client brand tone, business goals, and broader marketing strategies.
Client Management
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, serving as the senior point of contact for all social media work.
  • Lead client presentations, performance reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Collaborate with client service teams to proactively identify growth opportunities and ensure satisfaction.
Team & Operational Management
  • Lead, inspire, and mentor a growing team of social media coordinators and planners.
  • Establish efficient processes to streamline content planning, approvals, publishing, and reporting.
  • Ensure fast and effective turnaround times in content production and campaign execution, meeting agency service standards.
Performance, Reporting & Optimization
  • Oversee the development of monthly and campaign-specific reports with clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Track and analyze performance across all client campaigns, driving ongoing improvements.
  • Guide paid social budget allocations, bid strategies, and performance optimization.
Collaboration & Integration
  • Work closely with content creators, paid media specialists, designers, and strategists to deliver seamless campaigns.
  • Coordinate with influencers, partners, and platform reps to amplify client campaigns.
  • Contribute to new business pitches, providing social media insight, strategies, and ideas.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of major platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, YouTube, Threads, and emerging platforms.
  • Experience with social media management tools.
  • Advanced understanding of Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, TikTok Ads, and other paid platforms.
  • Skilled in crafting social content strategies that drive performance (engagement, reach, leads, conversions).
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.

Required Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of social media experience, preferably in an agency environment.
  • 3+ years managing teams and leading multi-client portfolios.
  • Platform certifications in buying and planning (in particular Meta)
